Kuskaya<\/div>

Is a Quechua word that means working together<\/strong>.
\nThis is the name we selected for our adventure, since the products we create are the result of collective effort.
\nYears later, we continue with the same mission, but as part of something bigger.
\nToday we are a solidarity brand within Textil El Amazonas S.A. BIC, the company that produces the marvelous cotton yarns we have always used. The weavers have fluorished with us, improving their and their families\u2019 life conditions.

Our designs are original and unique, inspired by an ancient weaving technique, colour combinations and everyday life.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our main material is mercerized Pima cotton, twisted into an excellent quality yarn with vibrant colours and a special sheen, that gives our products an elegant look and a long life.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Handcraft weaving<\/div>
Our fabrics are handmade on waist looms (callua) by expert weavers from Cajamarca. It is an ancient technique carefully passed on from mothers to daughters, which has allowed the perpetuation of the mastery of weaving very fine fabrics with elegant and unique finishes.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Alessandra Gerbolini is the creator and designer of KUSKAYA.
\nAll our fabrics have original and unique designs, based on the traditional weaving techniques of the waist loom.
\nThe collections are inspired on diverse topics, that go from nature to art, from traditional handcrafts to modern graphic design. The concept behind our design is to have fun without rejecting any ideas, while finding new ways of developing waist loom weaving, challenging the apparently limited technique options of this tool.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
